An Anniversary

To my beautiful wife, friend and partner,

It’s been 11 years since you and I tied the knot on the beach in Vancouver. Eleven amazing years. This past year and a bit, though, has been special. We’ve been joined at the hip (or should that be wheel?) as we’ve travelled through a large part of our amazing world.

At times, it’s been difficult but for the most part it’s been easy. I keep on being amazed at your stamina and abilities both on and off the bike but most of all, at your ability to put up with me. Not an easy task. Thank you. I love you. And I look forward to the rest of our journey.

XO, Pv

  1. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
    Have a great dinner tonight!
You are always on our minds!

    Take care,

  2. Hello you love birds,

Happy Anniversary. We are back in the dark and wet for six weeks before we head off to Columbia to study Spanish for two weeks.

As usual I am working on a run of another puzzle. Hard to keep a “puzzle man” down. This one is called “broken heart”. I will give you one upon your return!

Lise and I are up early as usual. We are in the grove to walk 10,000 steps each day. We go out of our way to walk. I have a shorter stride than Lise. I always have more steps than she has. She likes to sink her fitbit. She has more badges than I have. She has the distinctive award of 50 stairs in one day. I am working on that one.

We are good. Teeth are falling apart a bit, a few aches and pains but for the most part we make the most of each day!

Teachers are still on strike! Yuck! Government is holding tough. With other unions there is a clause that if unions today settle contracts now they will get increases too. Hell may freeze over before the government gives in!

So. Enjoy Peru. It is one of our favourite countries.

Hurry back now. We leave Oct 15th. When will be see the whites of your eyes next?

May you have many more years together!

Wayne 🙂 🙂 XO XO (that is two smiles and a kiss and hung on both cheeks)

  3. This calls for a Pablo Neruda poem!

    “But I love your feet
    only because they walked
    upon the earth and upon
the wind and upon the waters,
    until they found me.”
    ― Pablo Neruda

Wishing you many more years of stellar adventures together.
    Abrazos from Copenhagen,
    Linz & Frank
