We had an epic journey from Istanbul. Our flight ended up being 3 hours delayed but we felt no pain because of the fabulous business class lounge at Ataturk International Airport.
We got into Cairo eventually, only to find out our flight to Muscat was also delayed by 15 minutes that turned into about 90 minutes. Once we finally got in the air, an elderly passenger had a heart attack somewhere over Saudi Arabia and we diverted to Amman, Jordan, where they offloaded him. He walked off the plane so we hope he will be okay.
Eventually, after a lot of official wrangling by a myriad of officials, the plane took off again and we arrived in Muscat at 9.30 am, local time, 5 hours after we were supposed to, and after nearly 24 hours of travelling.
We were bagged but no matter. Our friends Holger, Sebastian and Tom were here to meet us and we are happy to be here. It’s warm!
Here are some first impressions:

Love this! Hope you are avoiding overt displays of affection! How did you score the business class lounge? That sounds like a great way to go. And you left Turkey just in time to avoid the earthquake! Glad you are on the road again. Maryanne
Love the pics, so exotic. Hmmm, affection, eh???? Bring it on, baby. Very funny.
Greeting Holger and friends, would love to be there. It is cold and dark here.
It is warm, baby. Warm!
Wow. Fantastic. Miss you already, but will not display my affection overtly. xxo K
No way? Is that sign for real? Looks like a fascinating place-look forward to seeing more!
